Job Description Summary

As a Senior Analyst, you'll maintain relationships by working with a variety of customers on ongoing plan maintenance for existing business. You will review various Nationwide forms to ensure proper order and manage several different internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Handle complex/exception processing, support quality checks of work, and prepare and submit plan agreements and regulatory forms needed. Key contractual tasks may include agreement or compensation changes to plans.
  2. Create and upload annual plan reviews (APR), regulatory fee disclosure notices, census packet generation/distribution, file plan IRS extensions, create amendment paperwork, prepare highlights for enrollment kits, vesting files, or termination processing underwriting notices.
  3. Administer basic plans by completing periodic valuations, compliance testing, participant benefit statements, resolving benefits amounts, and preparing participant loan documents, along with developing amortization and repayment schedules.
  4. Act as the gatekeeper of customer emails and route them to the appropriate locations. Provide backup email coverage as needed.
  5. Assist in creating products to be delivered directly to clients, identifying, prioritizing, and delivering workflow, service, and technology solutions.
  6. Coordinate standard monthly and quarterly reporting, and provide ad hoc reporting for larger cases.
  7. Assist in identifying business needs, service requirements, key issues, alternative solutions, and resources for clients and the business.
  8. Manage a specific process or function within the unit.
  9. Provide training and onboarding for new hires, participate in continuous improvement activities, and represent the team on project initiatives.
  10. Conduct research, perform quality control functions, and handle project work.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Operations Division Manager or Unit Manager. Does not have direct reports.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in technical, business administration, or related fields preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Participation in or attainment of technical coursework such as LOMA, FLMI, CLU, ChFC, FALU, or HIAA preferred. Some roles may require FINRA Series 6 license.

Experience: At least three years of related experience, including financial services and retirement plans.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: Knowledge of public sector retirement plans or financial services, intermediate digital literacy, strong communication skills, data analysis, decision-making skills, and the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships. Ability to lead multiple tasks and projects, evaluate issues thoroughly, and generate viable solutions.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies, and experiences, may take precedence. Staffing exceptions require approval from the hiring manager and HR Business Partner.
