Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Investigate inventory discrepancies and lead resolution with internal/external partners.
• Lead investigations into stock variances, adjustments, and reconciliations across distribution centers.
• Analyze data to identify trends and process failures; drive corrective actions.
• Perform root cause analysis on inventory transactions, shipments, returns, and system variances.
• Coordinate with warehouse operations to validate findings and resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain inventory performance reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Able to run ABC analysis and identify optimization opportunities.
• Document SOPs and support system enhancement testing affecting inventory management.

JOB MISSION

Responsible for monitoring inventory accuracy, investigating inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive resolution and process improvements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory integrity across distribution centers.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Inventory Discrepancy Investigation & Resolution Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory and business transactions and resolve inventory-related issues.
• Lead investigations into inventory discrepancies, stock variances, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation issues across our Distribution Centers.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, recurring issues, and potential process failures.
• Perform root cause analysis on inventory transactions, shipment discrepancies, receiving issues, returns processing, and system-related inventory variances.
• Coordinate with warehouse operations to validate findings and resolve discrepancies.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions to minimize future inventory inaccuracies.
• Facilitate alignment across stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of inventory challenges.
• Act as a subject matter expert for inventory management processes and controls.
• Escalate systemic issues and recommend sustainable solutions to leadership.
• Develop and maintain inventory performance reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Monitor inventory accuracy metrics, adjustment trends, cycle count performance, and exception reporting.
• Utilize data analytics tools to identify opportunities for process improvement and inventory optimization.
• Present findings, recommendations, and action plans to management and key stakeholders.
• Able to run ABC analysis.
• Identify process gaps that contribute to inventory inaccuracies and operational inefficiencies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory controls, transaction accuracy, and operational excellence.
• Document standard operating procedures and support implementation of best practices.
• Support testing and validation of system enhancements impacting inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and internal policies.
• Support physical inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
• Assist in establishing inventory control standards and monitoring adherence across the network.
• Collaborate with Finance during month-end and year-end inventory reconciliation activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

• 5+ years’ experience in inventory management, supply chain analytics, logistics operations, or distribution.
• Strong experience investigating inventory discrepancies and conducting root cause analysis.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and-skilled at translating complex inventory issues into actionable solutions.
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools required; experience with MS Power BI preferred.
• Experience working with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (D365/Manhattan).
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, Finance or related field strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; detail oriented.
• Effectively manages multiple priorities to ensure departmental success.
• Continually works to improve and develop skills and knowledge.
• Able to stand/sit, and work on a computer, for long periods of time.

Pay Range & Location

Lawrence, MA Distribution Center Only

Pay Range: $76,900.00 - $99,300.00 - $121,600.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
