Job description

The Why Behind Wellvana:

The healthcare system isn’t designed for health. We’re designed to change that. We’re Wellvana, and we help doctors deliver life-changing healthcare.

Description

The Why Behind Wellvana: The healthcare system isn’t designed for health. We’re designed to change that. We’re Wellvana, and we help doctors deliver life-changing healthcare. Through our elevated value-based care programs, we’re revitalizing an antiquated system that’s far too long relied on misaligned incentives that reward quantity of care not the quality of it. Our enlightened approach—covering everything from care coordination to clinical documentation education to marketing— ties the healthy outcomes of patients directly to shared savings for primary care providers, health systems and payors. Providers in our curated network keep their independence, reduce their administrative headaches, and spend more time with patients. Patients, in turn, get an elevated experience with coordinated care between appointments that is nothing short of life-changing. Named 2024 "Best in Business" and 2023 "Best Place to Work" by Nashville Business Journal, we’re one of the fastest-growing healthcare companies in America because what we do works. This is the way medicine is meant to be.

Clarity On The Role

The Sr. Analyst, Interoperability is a mid-level technical integration position responsible for independently owning and driving clinical data integration projects from kickoff to production, working closely with provider partners, EHR vendors, and internal teams to support Wellvana’s value-based care offerings and CMS quality reporting programs. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on technical expertise in HL7, QRDA, SQL, and EMR systems with strong project coordination and communication skills to guide partner organizations through complex data integration requirements. A key part of the role involves ensuring data quality and interface accuracy, troubleshooting issues, and serving as a trusted resource for both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the integration.

What's Expected

  • Lead End-to-End Data Integration Projects

  • Own and drive the most complex clinical data integration efforts from kickoff to production, coordinating across internal teams, provider partners, and EHR vendors in support of Wellvana service offerings and CMS quality reporting requirements. Serve as the escalation point for integration challenges and proactively identify risks to project timelines.

  • Implement Direct-to-Partner Products and Solutions

  • Lead and refine the technical implementation of direct-to-partner products, ensuring smooth onboarding, data integration, and adoption of solutions that enhance provider engagement and support population health initiatives. Provide strategic input on product improvements based on implementation experience and partner feedback.

  • Educate and Support Partner Organizations

  • Guide provider organizations through technical deliverables required for CMS programs (e.g., MSSP, ACO REACH), interpret EHR system capabilities, and provide clear guidance on interface setup and data submission best practices.

  • Communicate Across Clinical, Technical, and Business Stakeholders

  • Effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and business users by clearly documenting integration steps, communicating status updates, and ensuring alignment across all stakeholders throughout the integration lifecycle.

  • Ensure Data Quality and Interface Accuracy

  • Define and enforce data quality standards for incoming data files, lead QA reviews for structure and content accuracy, and own the resolution of complex interface issues to ensure high data fidelity and support performance-based contracts. Mentor team members on QA methodologies and troubleshooting approaches.

  • Maintain Project Documentation and Partner Engagement

  • Track partner interactions via email and calls, maintain up-to-date project documentation, and contribute to business process documentation and lessons learned to inform continuous improvement.

  • Drive Operational Excellence and Process Improvement

  • Proactively identify and implement enhancements to integration workflows, establish and refine technical and operational standards, and lead the evolution of integration best practices in a dynamic VBC environment. Champion process improvements that increase team efficiency and scalability.

  • Develop Platform Expertise and Troubleshoot Technical Issues

  • Become a superuser of the internal platform, leveraging both front‑end and back‑end tools (e.g., SQL environments) to analyze and resolve complex data and integration issues within defined SLAs.

  • Lead Operations and Technical Initiatives

  • Lead operations and technical projects aimed at developing and optimizing standard operating procedures (SOPs), designing new data specifications, and enhancing clinical integration best practices to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment across ACO partners and integrations. Drive the deployment of new EHR vendor-specific integration methods.
