NextDecade is seeking a Senior Analyst, HRIS to own Workday configuration and optimization. You will collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to support Core HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking, Payroll and Talent Acquisition.

The role will also assist with Advanced Compensation implementation, Workday Adaptive Planning, and data integrity improvements, plus training and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, IS, or related field.
  • 5–7+ years of HRIS experience with Workday or similar.
  • Experience Core HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, or Compensation.
  • Experience gathering requirements, testing, UAT, and deployments.
  • Knowledge of Workday reporting, security, data privacy, audits.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a functional Workday resource for Core HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking, Payroll, Talent Management, and related processes.
  • Support Open Enrollment configuration, testing, production readiness, data validation, issue resolution, and reconciliation.
  • Partner with Payroll to support Time Tracking, Payroll testing, troubleshooting, and reconciliations.
  • Support Talent Acquisition processes, including job profiles, position management, and ATS reporting.
  • Participate in Advanced Compensation implementation and reporting.
  • Support workforce planning activities within Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Develop and maintain reports, audits, and data-quality controls.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders.
  • Document requirements, configurations, tests, decisions, and training materials.

This role partners with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to support Core HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking and Scheduling, Payroll, Position Management and Talent Acquisition. The position will also support the future implementation and ongoing administration of Advanced Compensation while improving data integrity, reporting, controls, and the employee experience. In addition, the role provides functional support for workforce planning processes within Workday Adaptive Planning, including data validation, reporting, testing, and issue resolution.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESServe as a functional Workday resource for Core HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking and Scheduling, Payroll, Talent Management, and related business processes.Support annual Open Enrollment configuration, testing, production readiness, data validation, issue resolution, and post-enrollment reconciliation.Partner with Payroll to support Time Tracking and Scheduling configurations, Payroll testing, troubleshooting, processing support, and reconciliations.Support Talent Acquisition processes, including job profile and position management, template creation, business process optimization, and ATS enhancements and related reporting, as applicable.Participate in the future implementation of Advanced Compensation and support compensation cycles after deployment.Support workforce planning activities within Workday Adaptive Planning, including data validation, testing, reporting, and issue resolution in partnership with HR and Finance stakeholders.Configure and maintain business processes, eligibility and validation rules, notifications, security assignments, and related system settings.Support Workday releases, enhancements, integrations, data loads, unit testing, UAT coordination, and production deployments.Develop and maintain reports, calculated fields, audits, and recurring data-quality controls.Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with internal stakeholders and external vendors.Document requirements, configurations, test results, decisions, issues, procedures, and training materials; provide user support and training.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.5-7+ years of progressive HRIS experience, including hands-on support of Workday or a comparable enterprise HCM platform.Experience supporting Core HCM and multiple functional areas such as Benefits, Time Tracking and Scheduling, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, or Compensation.Experience gathering requirements, supporting configuration, developing test scripts, coordinating UAT, and deploying system enhancements.Working knowledge of Workday reporting, security, data privacy, audit controls, EIBs, and integration concepts.Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSWorkday Pro accreditation or certification in a relevant functional area.Experience implementing or administering Talent Acquisition or Advanced Compensation.Familiarity supporting workforce planning processes within Workday Adaptive Planning.Experience supporting Workday releases, testing cycles, and system enhancements.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment.
