Job summary

Restaurant Brands International Inc. is seeking an FP&A professional to forecast, budget, and report financials and KPIs for RBI business units.

You will provide strategic insights and partner with senior leaders across departments, with an in-office five‑day schedule to enable collaboration. The ideal candidate has 1–4 years in investment banking, consulting, Big 4, or corporate FP&A, and a Finance/Business/Economics degree.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, Big 4, or corporate FP&A desired.
• University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or other quantitative field.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and MS Office; working knowledge of Python, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
• Genuine curiosity about AI tools for financial workflows (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex financial analysis for executives and non-financial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with full cycle financial planning for assigned business units: budgeting, forecasting, quarterly reforecast, long-range planning.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reporting for senior management with variance analysis explaining the 'why' behind results.
• Apply AI tools and automation to improve forecasting speed and accuracy.
• Use financial systems and databases to extract data and ensure data quality.
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency.
• Contribute to problem framing, ad hoc analyses, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop executive-level presentations and board-ready materials with a clear financial narrative.

Job Summary: This role is responsible for forecasting, budgeting and reporting financials and KPIs for the RBI Business Units. This position also involves providing in-depth financial analysis, strategic insights and decision‑making support to business leaders. The ideal candidate will work cross‑functionally with multiple departments and have direct exposure to senior leaders of the organization.

RBI follows a 5 day, in‑office work schedule to support collaboration. Successful candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the full cycle of financial planning for assigned business units; budgeting, forecasting, quarterly reforecast, and long‑range planning
• Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly performance reporting for senior management, including variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) that goes beyond the numbers to explain the 'why' behind performance
• Apply AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) and automation techniques (Python, SQL, Power BI) to improve the speed and accuracy of forecasting and reporting
• Utilize financial systems, tools, and databases to extract and analyze data, taking responsibility for protecting and improving the quality of RBI's financial data
• Continuously look for inefficiencies in existing processes and proactively propose and implement improvements
• Contribute to problem‑framing, ad hoc deep dives, and resolution of ambiguous business questions
• Work cross‑functionally with Operations, Marketing, Development, and Brand Finance teams, bring a financial lens to business conversations and help stakeholders understand the implications of their decisions
• Assist in preparing executive‑level presentations and board‑ready materials, developing your ability to tell a clear, compelling financial story

Skills & Experience

• 1-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, Big 4, or corporate FP&A highly desired
• University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or other quantitative field
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and other MS suite applications; working knowledge of Python, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a strong plus
• Genuine curiosity about AI tools for financial workflows; you have experimented with or are eager to explore Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools for finance use cases
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can translate a complex financial analysis into a clear, concise narrative for a senior executives AND non-financial audiences
• Proven ability to deliver under pressure; you meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
• Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset with high attention to detail and desire to learn, be challenged, and improve processes with ability to function both independently and in a fast‑paced team environment effectively
