Job summary

OneMain Financial in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Sr Analyst for the Execution team. This role focuses on coding and executing strategies to inform business decisions across Operations, with emphasis on automation and collaboration on risk and collection strategies.

The candidate will partner with leadership to learn advanced analytics tools, drive end-to-end process improvements, and mentor teammates as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, CS) required.
  • 5+ years of experience in process automation and strategy development using Databricks, Python, PySpark, SQL.
  • Experience scheduling jobs in Databricks and tuning performance of code.

Sr Analyst, Execution
Location: Wilmington, DE (Hybrid schedule)

We are currently seeking a Sr Analyst for our Execution team in Wilmington, DE. This role will have the exciting opportunity to learn and drive significant business results by coding and executing strategies that inform critical business decisions for our Operations teams. This position will focus on implementing strategy initiatives, process automation and collaborate on credit risk and collection strategies partners. Primary responsibilities will be ensuring that strategies are implemented and working as intended.


The successful candidate will expand their competencies and grow their business and industry acumen, as well as demonstrate the ability to work on complex processes or projects across the end-to-end project cycle. They will gain knowledge to suggest new answers to old questions and continue experimenting with new technology to find better ways to provide information delivery throughout the company. In addition, this candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to partner with the leadership team and develop solutions that are executable and meaningful in practice.
Responsibilities

  • Enhance Collections strategies by leveraging data and generating analysis, reports, and insights.
  • Use advanced skills with data query tools (i.e., SQL, Python, PySpark) to execute, implement, and monitor daily processes.
  • Work closely with strategy and analytical partners to gather requirements and develop technical requirements for strategy execution.
  • Manage relationships and facilitate execution across all stakeholders, including weekly and monthly meetings.
  • Identify performance opportunities in team members and take steps to improve team capabilities.
  • Effectively escalat**e** and manage high-profile strategies to mitigate risk and identify solutions to prevent similar issues in the future.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years experience in process automation and strategy development using Databricks workspace, Databricks Notebooks, Job Clusters, Python & PySpark, Github, Bitbucket. Strong working knowledge of T-SQL and/or P-SQL, specifically to write complex, highly optimized queries across large volumes of data his highly desired.
  • Experience on scheduling jobs in Databricks
  • Hands on experience in performance tuning and optimizing code running in Databricks environment.
  • Strong relational database and SQL experience.
  • Ability to mine data from various sources (SQL, Snowflake etc.) and produce meaningful reports.
  • Ability to translate high-level business requirements into technical data requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentations) and ability to solve complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities as the body of work evolves, often on limited notice.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of consumer lending and collection or recovery strategies.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Snow SQL, Snowpark
