Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a senior collaborator to own the strategy, deployment, and lifecycle management of checkout hardware across the enterprise, ensuring a reliable and scalable checkout experience. You will define hardware rollout requirements, execute deployment plans across stores, and drive Day 2 support improvements with vendors and standard service levels.

You will partner with the Checkout Software team to ensure a unified strategy across the checkout technology footprint in stores,

Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Three years of work experience minimum; additional years preferred.

Job description

Position Purpose

Owns the strategy, deployment, and lifecycle management of checkout hardware across the enterprise, ensuring a reliable and scalable checkout experience.

  • Define requirements for hardware rollouts to support the future of the checkout space
  • Execute hardware deployment strategy and physical installation plan across the stores
  • Drive continuous improvement of Day 2 support for checkout technology. Ensure vendors and patterns are held to agreed upon service levels.

Partner closely with Checkout Software team to ensure unified strategy across the checkout technology footprint in stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Project Teams of Analysts and other associates
  • Perform data gathering tasks, synthesis - develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization
  • Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize. Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors
  • Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.
  • Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports
  • Typically reports to Store Operations Process Manager or Store Operations Business Manager (or Sr. Managers)
  • No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).
Travel Requirements
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
