Position Purpose:
As a Senior Analyst in Asset Protection, you will play a pivotal role by proactively identifying and resolving critical business concerns through in-depth data analysis. You will be responsible for reverse engineering data anomalies to identify root causes and quantify their global impact, providing clear and actionable insights. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of both ideal operational workflows and the origins of deviations. Your insights will be crucial in identifying the impact of these concerns on the company, enabling data-driven decision-making and the implementation of effective solutions. Additionally, you will support field-facing tools that our AP partners utilize in their research by providing maintenance and enhancements. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong operational understanding and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data gathering tasks and analytics - identify trends, develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization.
- Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize. Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors. Synthesize findings and make recommendations to upper management.
- Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Typically reports to Asset Protection Manager
- No associates report to this role, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work and train to other team members (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action)
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

- Strong project management and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional analytical ability to manipulate data, derive meaningful conclusions, and formulate data-driven recommendations.
- Strong SQL knowledge (e.g., BigQuery, MySQL, DB2) for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong Tableau knowledge, including the ability to create and design impactful dashboards that effectively communicate key messages to users.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Demonstrated customer service mindset with a focus on understanding and meeting internal stakeholder needs.
- Demonstrated leadership attributes, including the ability to influence and drive results without direct authority.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and achieving shared goals.
- Background in consulting management and/or project management methodologies a plus.
- Strong quantitative skills, including statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving, a strong drive for results, the capacity to build strong relationships, and a commitment to integrity.
- Solid understanding of merchandising, retail operations, and/or field operations.
- Strong knowledge of Asset Protection principles and practices is preferred
- The ability to reverse engineer data anomalies to identify quantification and root causes, providing clear and actionable insights.
- Ability to partner with business partners across the organization to identify "happy path" processes and the underlying causes of identified concerns.
- Ability to produce standard documentation for partners at all levels, effectively communicating findings and recommendations.
