You should not apply for this role if you will require Toyota to assist with immigration support or sponsorship now or in the future.

Who We’re Looking For

Toyota’s Accounts Receivable Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Sr Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead end-to-end accounts receivable and intercompany accounting activities, including collections escalations, account reconciliations, variance analysis, journal entries, issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination to support an accurate and timely financial close.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the person in this role will support the Accounts Receivable department's objective to ensure accurate, timely, and well-controlled accounts receivable and intercompany accounting by resolving complex issues, maintaining reconciled balances, supporting the financial close, and partnering across teams to reduce risk and improve processes.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own the end-to-end escalation cadence for overdue customer accounts, including prioritizing high-risk balances, documenting collection actions, coordinating follow-ups, and driving timely resolution in alignment with established aging and collection targets.
  • Investigate root causes of unapplied cash, short payments, deductions, and customer disputes; partner with Cash Application, Billing, Sales, Treasury, and other stakeholders to remove roadblocks and ensure accurate, timely account resolution.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of the accounts receivable aging subledger to the general ledger; research and resolve variances, validate invoice and cash cutoff, and maintain complete supporting documentation to support an accurate and timely financial close in accordance with company policy.
  • Own the monthly accounts receivable fluctuation analysis, including preparation and validation of flux files, investigation of material period-over-period movements, and delivery of concise, supportable commentary for management reporting.
  • Analyze intercompany/third party activity and prepare, validate, and record recurring and nonrecurring monthly journal entries, ensuring appropriate account coding, supporting documentation, approvals, and adherence to close deadlines.
  • Lead the research, resolution, and clearance of intercompany/third party differences across legal entities by coordinating with manufacturing plants, divisions, shared services teams, and counterpart organizations; track open items, elevate aging issues, communicate status, risks, and required actions to management.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Progressive accounting experience across corporate accounting, general ledger, accounts receivable, shared services, manufacturing, audit, or another complex, multi-entity environment.
  • Hands‑on month‑end and year‑end close experience, including preparation and review of journal entries, account analysis, subledger‑to‑general‑ledger reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and timely resolution of complex reconciling items.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accounting policies, financial reporting requirements, and internal control principles relevant to accounts receivable, cash application, and balance sheet accounting.
  • Proven experience executing and documenting SOX controls, maintaining audit‑ready support, responding to internal and external audit requests, and remediate control or documentation gaps.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to interpret large data sets, identify root causes, connect accounting activity to upstream and downstream business processes, and develop sustainable corrective actions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, look‑up functions, data validation, reconciliations, trend analysis, and manipulation of large data sets;
Added bonus if you have
  • Active CPA license.
  • Extensive experience managing intercompany and third‑party accounting activity across legal entities, including balance confirmations, mismatch research, settlement coordination, aging management, and clearance of long‑outstanding items
  • Experience with SAP
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, and collaborative environment while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, confidentiality, and a service‑oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations, ask thoughtful questions, learn complex systems and process flow quickly, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate recurring accounting activities while maintaining appropriate controls and documentation
