Dev Technology is seeking a Senior AIX Systems Administrator to support and maintain mission-critical systems. This role plays a pivotal part in managing operations, ensuring system stability, and driving technological innovation. You'll be responsible for overseeing system administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and safeguarding the security of our AIX environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Administer and maintain AIX-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies for optimization to enhance reliability and responsiveness.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve problems efficiently while maintaining high security standards.
  • Perform routine backups, restores, system upgrades, and AIX performance tuning to ensure a stable and secure environment.
  • Lead and manage project teams with expertise in IBM AIX environments, providing guidance and technical leadership.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls while ensuring strict adherence to security policies.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Unix/AIX Systems Administration.
  • Ability to work onsite 5 days a week. This position is NOT remote or hybrid.
  • Prior experience in federal government contracting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various stakeholders and teams at all levels.
  • Expertise in documentation and organizational standards.
