Sr. AI Software Engineer (Remote, Back-end Leaning)

We are seeking a Sr. AI Software Engineer to join our fast-growing, innovative AI startup. This is a fully remote, full-time position based in the US, operating on Eastern Time with daily standups at 10:30 am EST.

Salary Range: $165,000 - $210,000 per year, plus competitive early-stage equity, flexible PTO, 401k, and comprehensive health benefits.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement core backend systems and AI infrastructure
• Build performant APIs and data pipelines for document retrieval and LLM summarization
• Collaborate with product and design teams on feature development
• Deploy cutting-edge LLM tooling and Generative AI integrations
• Lead projects end-to-end in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of software engineering experience at a top-tier company or high-performing startup
• Full-stack experience with strong backend and system design skills
• Experience with LLMs, AI/ML infrastructure, or generative AI, including side or personal projects
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
