Job summary

The Brixton Group in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a hands-on Senior AI Platform Engineer with deep Cloud Engineering expertise to build scalable, reliable cloud platforms. You will own architecture, automation, and platform tooling, partnering with product and security teams to deliver payment-ready infrastructure.

You should have 7+ years in platform/cloud/SRE roles, strong experience with AWS/GCP/Azure, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and AI-driven automation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Platform, Cloud, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS, Azure, or GCP experience.
• 3+ years of infrastructure automation/IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• 3+ years working with database infrastructure, networking, or SRE/reliability in production environments.
• 1+ year using AI/LLMs, AI agents, or AI-driven automation in professional engineering workflows.
• Experience architecting or significantly modernizing cloud/platform environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable cloud infrastructure for highly available, payment-critical workloads.
• Design platform capabilities spanning cloud, database, networking, reliability, and infrastructure automation.
• Create reusable self-service tooling, guardrails, and infrastructure patterns for application teams.
• Automate provisioning, operations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure workflows using AI and agentic solutions.
• Improve reliability, scalability, observability, security, and cost as the platform grows.
