IDR is seeking a Sr AI/Data Platform Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Seattle, WA. This role involves designing and developing AI-powered applications and scalable data services within a leading technology environment. The position primarily focuses on leveraging cloud-native architectures and enterprise metadata platforms to enhance data discovery, search, and analytics capabilities.

Position Overview for the Sr AI/Data Platform Engineer:

• Design and develop AI-driven applications utilizing AWS services such as Bedrock and SageMaker.
• Architect and implement secure, high-performance data access layers and APIs with AWS tools including Lambda, API Gateway, and containers.
• Build scalable, secure service layers to expose Redshift-based data lakes and enterprise metadata systems.
• Lead innovative AI initiatives like natural language interfaces, intelligent search, and automated data classification.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of data platforms.

Requirements for the Sr AI/Data Platform Engineer:

• Strong proficiency in Python and modern API development (REST and GraphQL).
• Hands‑on experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and cloud-native application architectures.
• Deep experience building high-performance, scalable services using AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, containers).
• Solid background in MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating machine learning frameworks, large language models (LLMs), and vector search technologies.
