Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer for the Anthem Next Generation Avionics platform. You will lead design, integration, and verification of avionics across hardware, software, and networks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet stringent performance and safety standards.

Responsibilities include architecture development, system verification, and DO-178C–compliant processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering, sciences, mathematics).
  • 6+ years in systems engineering and project leadership across design, architecture, integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with model-based design and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

  • Drive design, development, system integration and verification of avionics systems (hardware, software, network).
  • Develop core aircraft state and synoptics applications on Anthem NG platform.
  • Manage complex engineering projects ensuring quality standards.
  • Perform requirements analysis, architecture development, integration testing, and validation of avionics systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet system requirements and performance specs.
  • Implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.

As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer within the Next Generation Avionics (NGA) group, you will play a critical role in the design, development, integration and implementation of cutting-edge avionics solutions on the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform. In this role, you will work alongside a diverse team of engineers, developers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking Avionics solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the design, development, systemsintegrationand verification of advancedavionicssystems, including hardware,software, and network components
  • Development, systemsintegrationand verification of core Aircraft State and/or Aircraft Systems monitoring and synoptics applications to be hosted on the Anthem Next GenerationAvionicsPlatform.
  • Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards
  • Perform systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, system architecture development, integration testing, and validation of avionics systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and ensure seamless integration of Avionics software solutions that meet system requirements and performance specifications.
  • Implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards to safeguard systems and data.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in the Avionics space.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering and project leadership, including system design, architecture, integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using engineering tools and technologies relevant to systems development.
  • Experience with model-based system design

  • Understanding of thesoftwaredevelopment lifecycle (DO-178Cpreferred)
