Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer for the Next Generation Avionics team. The role focuses on design, development, integration and verification of cutting-edge avionics on the Anthem platform, working with a cross-functional team to deliver state-of-the-art cockpit solutions.

The ideal candidate has extensive systems engineering and leadership experience, with a strong background in model-based design and avionics standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (ABET/accredited)
  • 6+ years in systems engineering and project leadership
  • Experience with model-based system design and relevant tools

Responsibilities

  • Drive design, development, systems integration and verification of advanced avionics systems.
  • Develop core Aircraft State monitoring and synoptics apps for the Anthem NGA platform.
  • Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects meeting quality standards.
  • Perform requirements analysis, system architecture development, integration testing and validation of avionics systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
  • Implement security measures and regulatory/compliance standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends in avionics.

Responsibilities

As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer within the Next Generation Avionics (NGA) group, you will play a critical role in the design, development, integration and implementation of cutting-edge avionics solutions on the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform. In this role, you will work alongside a diverse team of engineers, developers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking Avionics solutions.

As a flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.

  • Drive the design, development, systemsintegrationand verification of advancedavionicssystems, including hardware,software, and network components
  • Development, systemsintegrationand verification of core Aircraft State and/or Aircraft Systems monitoring and synoptics applications to be hosted on the Anthem Next GenerationAvionicsPlatform.
  • Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards
  • Perform systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, system architecture development, integration testing, and validation of avionics systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and ensure seamless integration of Avionics software solutions that meet system requirements and performance specifications.
  • Implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards to safeguard systems and data.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in the Avionics space.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering and project leadership, including system design, architecture, integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using engineering tools and technologies relevant to systems development.
  • Experience with model-based system design

  • Experience with working with sensors used for aircraft position,navigation(air data, AHRS,GPS)
  • Experienceintegratingor interfacing with aircraft systems (flaps, gear, cabin pressure, FADEC)
  • Understanding of thesoftwaredevelopment lifecycle (DO-178Cpreferred)
