Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer to join the Display Services team in Aguadilla, PR, focusing on the Anthem Next Generation Avionics project. You will define software requirements, oversee integration, and ensure certification readiness across hardware, software, and networks.

You will report to the Sr Engineering Manager, with 90 days onsite before a hybrid 3/2 schedule. Relocation assistance is provided for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 8+ years in avionics systems engineering or project leadership.
• 5+ years in systems integration, implementation, troubleshooting, and advanced engineering technologies.
• Fluent English communication and ability to work in a global team.

Responsibilities

Sr Advanced Systems Engineer - Display Services (Finance)

As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace you will work in a fast-paced and exciting development environment with a team of experienced systems and software engineers to satisfy technical requirements, support functional load deliveries and ensure compliance with certification requirements.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. External hires will begin with 90 days onsite before transitioning to a hybrid (3/2) work schedule.

This position does provide relocation assistance.

Join our dynamic Display Services team at Honeywell Aerospace, where we design, develop, and integrate highly complex systems for our Anthem Next Generation Avionics project. We are on the lookout for an experienced Systems Engineer who is passionate about developing and defining software requirements that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Displays Apps to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.
• Avionics or embedded Systems development and requirement definition.
• Support the design and development of advanced systems, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects.
• Implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards to safeguard systems and data.
• Lead the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring they are installed correctly, tested rigorously, and perform optimally.
• Provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring systems remain operational.
• Test and Integration on test benches in labs
• System Verification and Validation

Travel, up to 10%, may be expected.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or project leadership in the domain of Avionics, Flight Management or Flight Guidance
• 5+ years of experience with systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• 5+ years of experience with advanced systems engineering technologies.
• 5+ years of experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Ability to write, read and speak English fluently.
