Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The role leads the development, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC and LabVIEW-based control systems while supporting cross-functional engineering teams.

The engineer will architect robust PLC programs, design LabVIEW-based systems, define control requirements, and guide system implementation, commissioning, and validation with senior mentorship across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in PLC programming, controls engineering, and automation system development.
• Hands-on experience with LabVIEW, VeriStand, Python, and .NET, including architecting and developing applications from scratch.
• Strong expertise in object-oriented PLC programming, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain LabVIEW-based systems, ensuring reliable performance and alignment with customer requirements.

Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate willlead the development, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC and LabVIEW-based control systems while supporting cross-functional engineering teams.

Rate Range: $54/Hour to $57/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Architect, develop, and test robust PLC control programs for new and existing automation equipment using industry best practices.
• Design and maintain LabVIEW-based systems, ensuring reliable performance and alignment with customer requirements.
• Define control system requirements and create detailed functional specifications for complex engineering projects.
• Lead system implementation, commissioning, and validation activities, including troubleshooting software, electrical, and mechanical issues.

This position requires the use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Pay Details: $54.00 to $57.00 per hour
