The John S. Dunn Behavioral Sciences Center and Harris County Psychiatric Center at UTHealth Houston create our Behavioral Sciences Campus. BSC offers individualized inpatient treatment options for a variety of behavioral health disorders across the 23 units on-site. These units include treatment in child/adolescent, adult/geriatric, co-occurring disease, psychosis, and competency restoration units.
The Senior Admissions Coordinator provides guidance, mentoring, and operational support to Admissions Coordinators, promotes adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements, collaborates with nursing leadership and physicians, and assists in resolving workflow issues to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality patient admissions.is responsible for managing and facilitating the patient admission process. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for this role.
All BSC employees go through a mandatory 2-week hospital-wide orientation. Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Under general supervision, the Senior Admissions Coordinator performs a variety of moderately complex tasks to include the communication and coordination of pre-admissions and admissions functions. Assists with the development of staff schedules and distributes assignments and workloads.
Associate's Degree or relevant experience in lieu of education required
3 years of related experience required
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
