Houston Dose is looking for a Staff Nurse II to work in its Behavioral Sciences Campus located in Houston, Texas. This role involves assessing medical and psychiatric needs, providing professional nursing care, and supervising other nursing staff.

UTHealth Houston’s Behavioral Sciences Campus, the largest academic psychiatric hospital in the nation, is hiring Staff Nurse II Behavioral Sciences Campus positions to work 8-hour (Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm), 40-hour workweek shifts. There will be one (1) 8-hour nurse/unit to work along side the team. Please note the Older Adult and Competency Restoration Units are excluded from this shift option.

Assesses patients' medical and psychiatric needs and provides professional nursing care in response to this assessment. Directs and supervises the delivery of care by other nursing team members (LVNs and Psychiatric Technicians) in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school with one year nursing experience required
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school with three years of nursing experience required
Nursing Diploma (3 year program) with two years of nursing experience required
ADN with two years of experience at HCPC as a Staff Nurse I required
Years of experience varies based on education level required
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
