This role involves estimating liabilities, establishing premium rates, conducting financial analysis, and reporting. It requires extracting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from various sources to identify risks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Collaborate with actuarial staff to complete IBNR estimates and rate adequacy studies, documenting assumptions.
  • Analyze results to identify early trends or issues related to medical care costs and recommend solutions.
  • Design and perform actuarial studies on medical care costs and trends.
  • Create reports to support IBNR calculations, pricing, and financial reporting.
  • Extract and compile data to support executive decision-making, communicating results effectively.
  • Research and develop reports and analyses for senior management.
  • Prepare claim experience reports, rate models, and regulatory reports.
Job Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics

Required Experience: 2-4 years

Required Licenses/Certifications: Must have passed at least 3 actuarial exams

Preferred Experience: 5-6 years

Preferred Certifications: ASA or near ASA
