Job description

Our Sr Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable functions with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This role involves managing the processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds. Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining vendor relationships. The Sr Specialist collaborates with internal departments and vendors to resolve issues and improve processes. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software are essential.

In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:

  • the ability to work safely, with or without supervision;
  • the ability to read understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness;
  • the ability to work with internal and external (field office) personnel in a professional and courteous manner;
  • the ability to communicate with vendors and subcontractors in a professional and courteous manner;
  • the ability to understand department workload and determine the priorities;
  • the ability to function effectively in an occasional high-stress environment.


Responsibilities:
  • Completion of high-level tasks in support of an assigned department/project.
  • Receive, organize, file, and maintain documents and/or data for an assigned department/project.
  • Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist assigned department/project.
  • Read, interpret, and input data in support of an assigned department/project.

Qualifications:
  • 3 years of related work experience.
  • Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
  • Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language skills both oral and written.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.


Workplace Environment and Physical Demands:

To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions. Work is performed indoors and in a typical office environment.
