Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Costpoint and intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail and excellent communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and code entries with proper approvals.
• Perform 3-way match of invoices, POs, and receiving documents.
• Schedule and execute payments via checks, ACH, or wires.
• Maintain vendor files and respond to payment inquiries.
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and assist month-end close.
• Review expense reports and prepare for accounting migration.
• Perform credit card reconciliation and detect discrepancies.
• Provide finance and administrative support as needed.

Job Summary

DRS RADA Technologies is hiring a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join its team at the Germantown, MD location. This position is on-site and full time.

The core duties for this role will include processing invoices, matching purchase orders, reconciling statements, and resolving payment discrepancies.

Job Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring proper authorization.
• 3-Way Matching: Verify that the vendor invoice, purchase order, and receiving document all match before processing payment.
• Payment Execution: Schedule and execute payments via checks, ACH, or wire transfers.
• Vendor Management: Maintain vendor files, handle payment inquiries, and ensure all tax documents (such as W-9s) are up to date.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly vendor statements and support the month-end close by preparing payable reports and accruals.
• Expense Reports: Verify documentation, review policy compliance, approve or return for correction, reconcile and prepare report to migrate to accounting system.
• Credit Card Reconciliation: Verify each transaction and fee, review for errors or fraudulent charges, retrieve receipts from various sources, maintain correct daily balance.
• Support: Finance projects and administrative support as needed.
• Integrity: Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent training with 4+ years of directly related experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Costpoint preferred) and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• High attention to detail, strong time-management, and excellent communication skills for inter-departmental and vendor interaction.

The pay range for this position is ($24.94/hour-$32.42/hour). This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
