Job summary

Nutrabolt Austin HQ is seeking a Senior Accountant (Leases & Fixed Assets) to join our Hybrid, full‑time team. You will own ASC 842 lease accounting, fixed asset accounting, and month‑end close activities.

Responsibilities include lease schedules, ROU assets, depreciation, capitalizations, and reconciliations, plus audits and SOX support. Collaboration with Facilities, Procurement, Legal, Operations, and Finance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 842.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting and capitalization policies.
• Experience supporting audits and SOX controls.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/lease accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage ASC 842 lease accounting and ROU assets.
• Prepare monthly lease accounting journal entries and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Facilities, Procurement, Legal, Operations, and Finance on lease and capex matters.
• Maintain fixed asset subledger/rollforward; oversee capitalization, depreciation, impairment, transfers, and disposals.
• Review capital expenditures and ensure capitalization policy compliance.
• Support month-end close and general ledger accuracy; assist audits and SOX controls.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

This role oversees ASC 842 lease accounting, fixed asset accounting, financial close support, reconciliations, reporting, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives.* Manage lease accounting under ASC 842, including lease schedules, ROU assets, lease liabilities, modifications, remeasurements, and terminations.* Prepare monthly lease accounting journal entries and reconciliations.* Partner with Facilities, Procurement, Legal, Operations, and Finance to ensure lease arrangements and capital expenditures are appropriately identified and accounted for.* Maintain the fixed asset subledger/rollforward and oversee capitalization, depreciation, impairment, transfers, and disposals* Review capital expenditures and ensure compliance with capitalization policies.* Prepare reconciliations for fixed assets, accumulated depreciation, lease assets, and lease liabilities.* Support month-end close activities and general ledger accuracy.* Support internal and external audits and SOX control execution.* Perform technical accounting research related to leases and fixed assets.* Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.**What You Contribute:*** Bachelor's Degree in Accounting* CPA or CPA candidate preferred* 5+ years of accounting experience* Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 842* Experience with fixed asset accounting and capitalization policies* Experience supporting audits and SOX controls* Strong Excel, ERP, and lease accounting system experience (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics D365, OneStream, Trullion)* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills**Why Nutrabolt?**Wellness BenefitsNutrabolt cares about our teammates’ physical, mental, and financial wellness by providing benefits like: competitive health insurance, life insurance, mental wellness programs, 401K matching, and a Lifestyle Spending Account.Lifestyle PerksWe offer unlimited vacation paid time off and volunteer time off.
