Job summary

Randstad USA in Irving, TX is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead financial reporting, cost accounting and internal controls for a manufacturing site. You will manage month-end close, inventory valuation, and support audits, delivering accurate analysis to site management.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the manufacturing site.
  • Cost Accounting: Oversee the site’s cost accounting processes, including tracking and analyzing manufacturing cost, variances, and inventory valuation.
  • Inventory Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting processes, including inventory valuation, reconciliations, cycle count analysis, and investigation of inventory variances.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Capital Expenditure Analysis: Analyze and evaluate capital expenditure proposals for the manufacturing site.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making by site management.
  • Month-end Close: Lead the month-end close process for the manufacturing site, ensuring timely and accurate recording of journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with external audits for the manufacturing site, including providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

Job description

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the manufacturing site, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Cost Accounting: Oversee the site’s cost accounting processes, including tracking and analyzing manufacturing cost, variances, and inventory valuation.
  • Inventory Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting processes, including inventory valuation, reconciliations, cycle count analysis, and investigation of inventory variances. Partner with Operations to ensure accurate inventory records and effective controls.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify control weaknesses and implement corrective actions.
  • Capital Expenditure Analysis: Analyze and evaluate capital expenditure proposals for the manufacturing site. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support investment decisions.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making by site management. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure site performance.
  • Month-end Close: Lead the month-end close process for the manufacturing site, ensuring timely and accurate recording of journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with external audits for the manufacturing site, including providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

Experience:
