Yosemite Spring Park Utility Company (YSPUC) is looking for a Sr. Accountant who has at least 4 years accounting experience and is proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook; is experienced with QuickBooks online and/or Desktop, payroll processing, complex clerical accounting duties which require the application of independent judgment to situations where standard procedures may not apply. Must be able to prepare complex financial and statistical records; posting and balancing; prepare payroll and related document; type and posts requisitions, purchase orders and requests for payments and more.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in answering busy phones providing excellent customer service, assisting homeowners with questions/payments
  • Maintaining payment records and assist in taking payments as needed
  • Perform or support AP/AR/Invoicing
  • Responsible for payroll processing and records
  • Process complex financial and statistical records
  • Post to and balance accounts
  • Prepare or assist in preparing financial records
  • Post to GL
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Special projects as assigned
  • May provide clerical support to the Board of Directors preparing agendas/minutes

Successful candidate will have excellent communication skills in English with professional attitude and appearance and a commitment to good customer service. Must be able to work effectively in a small office with lots of interruptions and maintain a professional attitude while communicating respectfully and effectively with property owners and employees.

Minimum 4 years of Sr. Accounting Clerk experience

Compensation: $25 to $29 per hour; benefits include health insurance, Dental/Vision/Life, 401K, PTO
