Summary

This position requires performance-driven individuals with strategic problem-solving skills, high business acumen, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have sales experience in pediatric endocrinology clinics or comparable experience in rare diseases. Experience launching first-in-class therapies and building new therapeutic markets is preferred.

Responsibilities
  1. Achieve sales objectives, market penetration, new patient starts, and revenue targets quarterly and annually.
  2. Drive demand through clinical selling and education to healthcare providers, focusing on skeletal conditions, including cold calling on key accounts as needed.
  3. Implement and track business strategies and tactics effectively.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as Pediatric Endocrinology, Orthopedics, Genetics, and referring physicians.
  5. Participate in disease awareness efforts and professional society meetings.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams like MSLs, Market Access, and Compliance.
  7. Become an expert in clinical data and communicate its significance.
  8. Provide business insights based on clinical practices.
  9. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  10. Work with ambiguity and adapt as organizational needs evolve.
Scope
  • Work some evenings and weekends for educational events.
  • Manage a multi-state territory with a diverse customer base.
  • Travel overnight 40%-60% depending on the territory.
  • Utilize virtual skills to balance travel with virtual meetings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 5 years in biotech/rare disease sales involving complex, first-in-class products.
  • Experience with office-based selling in a new market environment.
  • Experience working in a field team with clinical support and reimbursement models.
  • Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Orthopedics experience preferred.
  • Experience in product launches, especially first-in-class therapies.
  • Experience working directly with patients and families.
  • Ability to manage a long sales cycle to establish a medical home.

New York City (Remote position).
