Job description

Cell Signaling Technology (CST) is a different kind of life sciences company, one founded, owned, and run by active research scientists, with the highest standards of product and service quality, technological innovation, and scientific rigor for over 20 years. We consistently provide fellow scientists around the globe with best-in-class products and services to fuel their quests for discovery.

Helping researchers find new solutions is our main mission every day, but it's not our only mission. We're also dedicated to helping identify solutions to other problems facing our world. We believe that all businesses must be responsible and work in partnership with local communities, while seeking to minimize their environmental impact. That's why we joined 1% for the Planet as its first life science member, and have committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2029.

The role…

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding CST's presence within an assigned territory, with a primary focus on biopharma, contract research organizations (CROs), and translational research institutions.

This individual will cultivate strategic relationships within highly compliant settings, focusing on two key growth vectors:

  • Expanding CST's footprint within the CAR-T and cell therapy development ecosystem.
  • Identifying growth opportunities within high-value sectors such as immunology and neurodegeneration.

By positioning CST's premium antibody-based products and services, the Senior Account Manager will support customers navigating the critical transition from discovery to early-stage regulated manufacturing. This role requires a strong understanding of GxP environments, clinical workflows, and validation standards, enabling you to serve as a trusted partner to accounts operating under strict regulatory requirements.

Revenue Growth & Strategic Account Management (30%)

  • Identify and capture high-value opportunities within the CAR-T, TCR-T, and cell therapy pipeline as a primary focus, strategically positioning CST’s early-phase clinical and GMP portfolio where lot-to-lot antibody consistency is a critical regulatory hurdle.
  • Drive territory revenue growth by expanding CST's core portfolio across translational research and early-stage clinical workflows in immunology, neurodegeneration, and oncology.
  • Manage and expand key accounts across biopharma and CRO organizations, utilizing a consultative, solution-based approach tailored to pre-clinical and early clinical evaluation phases.

  • Accurately forecast sales, maintain pipeline visibility, and drive cross-selling/upselling of high-consistency solutions across account pipelines.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop proposals, pricing strategies, and contracts aligned with institutional purchasing and documentation processes.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement (30%)

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with translational scientists, lab directors, and research quality stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on product validation, assay reproducibility, documentation standards, and early-stage compliance considerations (e.g., GxP alignment).
  • Support customers in navigating product selection to ensure alignment with their internal validation and characterization standards.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by anticipating needs and ensuring timely, technically sound responses.

Cross-Functional Collaboration (15%)

  • Partner with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, R&D, and Quality teams to support commercialization and account engagement strategies.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, sharing insights on translational workflows and validation expectations to inform product positioning.
  • Coordinate with technical and application scientists to ensure solutions meet rigorous evaluation standards and are fit-for-purpose.
  • Align global and regional teams on territory account strategies and commitments.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights (15%)

  • Identify new opportunities in emerging translational applications, expanded workflows, and regulated research spaces.
  • Represent CST at industry conferences, scientific symposia, and relevant regional events to strengthen market presence.
  • Provide strategic input into portfolio and commercial planning based on evolving market trends and validation requirements.

Administrative, Quality & Compliance (10%)

  • Maintain accurate account records, contracts, and documentation in compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Manage expenses and report performance metrics aligned with commercial objectives.

Scientific & Technical Scope
  • Proven ability to sell complex scientific solutions into cell and gene therapy (CAR-T), immunology, or neuroscience sectors.
  • Practical experience with antibody-based applications in characterization or clinical workflows (e.g., IHC, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, High Content Imaging).
  • Strong understanding of drug development, translational research, and preclinical laboratory processes.
Professional Skills & Logistics
  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, including laboratory directors, screening groups, and procurement functions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, forecasting, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce) and the ability to travel regularly within the territory.
