Sr. Account Executive (SaaS) - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About The Role

Vimachem seeks a dynamic Sr. Account Executive (SaaS) with 4+ years of experience selling SaaS / Cloud software solutions in the Life Sciences sector. This position requires excellent planning, organizational skills, and a strong understanding of MEDDIC. Candidates should be able to close $100K+ deals, have a proven track record as a top performer, and be willing to travel as needed.

What will you do as a Sr. Account Executive (SaaS)?

  • Working on the front lines with medium and enterprise accounts in the life sciences industry.
  • Driving large, complex deals and owning the entire value-based sales process from lead generation through the proposal, legal/procurement, negotiation and closing.
  • Building a network of relationships with c-suite and senior enterprise leaders across the Life Science and Pharmaceutical Industries.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop a comprehensive account strategy and execution plan.
  • Maintaining a tight record of all sales activity in Hubspot and performing outreach using prospecting technologies such as Gong, Lusha, Zoominfo and Linkedin Sales Navigator.
  • Effectively communicating and educating clients about the value of our platform, industry insights and driving clarity about our customers’ needs and the digital transformation capabilities of AI and IIoT technologies while challenging customers status quo.
  • Acronyms like ERP, MES, GxP, eBR, and QMS are part of your daily conversations (this is a plus).

The main qualifications for this Sr. Account Executive (SaaS) role are:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience of business development and selling experience in multifaceted enterprise software products.
  • Minimum 4 years’ of selling to Pharma/Biotech/Medical Devices Manufacturing Companies.
  • You are equally experienced and comfortable presenting, from top-level executives to front-line manufacturing operators in Life Science companies.
  • Highly consultative personality with savvy business acumen, including a track record of negotiating, structuring, and executing enterprise-level agreements.
  • Possess a strong background of achieving over 100%+ of your quota.
  • Ability to prospect and penetrate new accounts.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the hunger to succeed; act with a startup mindset: have urgency, and grit, be adaptable to change, and be a team player.
  • Excellent presentation and executive engagement skills.
  • Break into and drive large, complex deals from lead to close.
  • Trained and/or certified in standardized sales and qualification methods (E.g. MEDDICC).
  • Experience navigating large company procurement processes.
  • Drive account strategies and coordinate selling efforts with channel partners to execute a sales process and win deals.
  • Have a passion for technology and speak fluently about current trends in SaaS, PaaS, IoT, and cloud solutions trends.
  • Willingness to travel on a frequent and regular basis, per business needs.
  • Experience working with channel partners is a plus.
  • Selling Manufacturing Execution Systems - MES is a plus.
  • Familiar with regulations and standards such as FDA 21CFR11, ISO 13484 and GAMP 5.
