Sr. Account Director Business Development (Patient First Digital Solutions) US -Remote

This role involves representing PPD’s Patient First Digital Solutions (PFDS) by securing and retaining patient recruitment business through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities aimed at decision-makers and influencers at clinical sponsors. The position focuses on positioning PFDS as a primary or preferred provider for patient recruitment services, qualifying deals, developing proposals, defining solutions, and recommending pricing structures to meet strategic goals. The primary contact until work is sold, then coordinating with clinical development to ensure successful implementation. The role also involves gathering market data on trends, products, services, and pricing.

Essential Functions
  • Orchestrate RFP strategy calls, develop client proposals, prepare presentations, negotiate, and close contracts. Achieve or exceed authorization goals.
  • Conduct cold calls and client visits; maintain sales database and activity reports.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through regular contact; address dissatisfaction and respond to requests.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with relevant experience (2+ years preferred) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Background in scientific sales and/or marketing within pharmaceutical/biotech sectors.
  • Proven ability to develop high-level business contacts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for managing relationships across departments.
  • Experience in sales lead development, professional presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Knowledge of sales automation systems and Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions and Environment
  • Office environment with occasional travel domestically and internationally.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Stationary work for extended periods, repetitive hand movements, mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, and excellent communication skills.
