Job description

Evidera is seeking a Sr Account Director, Business Development with proven skills in business development, client management, and stakeholder management to drive the success of our consulting practice areas.

Evidera provides strategic support to executives at leading biopharmaceutical, medical device, and health IT companies. Our work leverages scientific research, data analysis, and extensive experience to support critical commercial and development decisions, including pharmaceutical product strategy, opportunity assessment, commercial strategies, evidence generation, competitive strategy, and product commercialization for market access.

Essential Functions

  1. Client account and relationship management
  2. Development of new business opportunities across consulting practice areas
  3. Strategic and tactical account planning in collaboration with scientific research teams
  4. Coordination with sales, finance, legal, and support functions to drive business and meet sales targets

Qualifications

This role requires proactive, consultative sales activities targeting decision-makers and influencers within existing and new client contacts. The candidate should proactively identify and qualify opportunities, define solutions, and recommend pricing to meet strategic goals. The primary contact remains until project kickoff, then coordination with relevant business units ensures successful implementation. The role acts as a liaison between Evidera and PPD CRG for all business development activities.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant academic/vocational qualifications
  • Previous experience (approximately 5+ years or equivalent) demonstrating the necessary skills and abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Scientific, sales, and/or marketing background in pharmaceutical/biotech sectors
  • Proven track record of developing mid- and high-level business contacts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for managing and expanding relationships across departments
  • Experience in lead development, professional presentations, sales process management, and contract negotiations
  • Knowledge of sales automation systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office

No current management responsibilities, but potential for future growth

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Office environment with exposure to electrical equipment
  • Occasional travel to site locations, domestic and international
