The Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) is a living laboratory where we investigate the relationship between computer technology, human activity, and society. Founded in 1993, the HCII is a place where we work to understand and create technology that harmonizes with and improves human capabilities, goals, and social environments through interdisciplinary research and education in design, computer science, and behavioral and social sciences. We research how people work, play, and communicate within groups, organizations, and social structures, then we design, create, and evaluate technologies and tools to support human and social activities.

The Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) is seeking a Senior Academic Coordinator to join our team!

Core responsibilities include:

  • Providing senior level support of MHCI's academic program
  • Overseeing and maintaining academic admin systems and processes for the program including gsaudit, student registration, student status updates, ICC issues and requests
  • Organizing recruiting activities, collecting admissions materials, assisting with the admissions process
  • Coordinating annual events: Open House, Orientation, Comm Talks, Town Halls, Appreciation Week, graduation
  • Coordinating student evaluation meetings and monitoring student academic progress
  • Providing backup support for Academic Program Manager
  • Providing support for assigned program related faculty

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of academic program support required. Experience supporting student services in higher education strongly preferred.

A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
