Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a SQL Server / QA Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Irving, TX. This is a 24+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop complex SQL Server queries from business requirements to support data frameworks.
2. Optimize database queries and performance tuning within the SQL Server environment.
3. Conduct QA testing and data validation using Selenium and other automation tools.
4. Perform data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning.
5. Contribute to the resolution of complex challenges using data from multiple sources.
6. Work within an Agile framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
7. Manage JIRA backlog and partner with business SMEs to align on deliverables.
8. Participate in data strategy initiatives with Enterprise Data Services.
9. Apply data-related design patterns and best practices.
10. Contribute to technical documentation and training sessions as needed.
11. Leverage Google Cloud tools to support cloud-based data initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Database Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of SQL Server development (writing queries, performance tuning).
• 3+ years in Business Intelligence tools: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Tableau or Power BI.
• 3+ years with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, etc.).
• 3+ years working in a cloud environment (Public/Private/Hybrid - Google Cloud preferred).
• 2+ years in Automation Testing using Selenium, Karate, or BDD frameworks.
• 2+ years experience with performance testing tools, CICD pipelines, and SDLC.
• 3+ years of experience in financial services, merchant services, or credit card industry.
• 2+ years with C# and VB.NET programming.

Pay Range: $44-54
