Job summary

Inherent Technologies, Inc. is seeking a SQL Server Expert to serve as the technical SME for Emerson Syncade MES deployments. This remote, year-long contract focuses on performance tuning, query optimization, and ensuring reliable data flows across the MES landscape.

You will analyze bottlenecks, optimize stored procedures and indexing, support integrations, and collaborate with MES, infrastructure, and app teams to boost stability and scalability.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Emerson Syncade MES.
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and development.
• Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization of Syncade-based applications.
• Strong expertise in SQL query tuning, stored procedures, indexing, database design, and performance monitoring tools.
• Good understanding of Syncade integrations, interfaces, and data exchange mechanisms.
• Experience troubleshooting complex MES production environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to engage directly with business and technical stakeholders and provide architecture-level recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform SQL Server performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and database health assessments.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of Syncade integrations, interfaces, and data flows with enterprise systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis of application, database, and integration performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with MES, infrastructure, and application teams to improve system stability, scalability, and response times.
• Review application and database architecture and recommend optimization strategies and best practices.
• Support upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing operational excellence initiatives for Syncade MES environments.
