If you are located in Eastern, Central, and Mountain times zone, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, program, maintain, and publish reports
  • Make solid recommendations based on the analysis and provide explanations for reporting results for both internal operations and our customers
  • Evaluate, monitor, maintain, and communicate data quality status across assets
  • Ensure processes incorporate sufficient data quality validation within test plans; participate in the testing process, as needed
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased automation to drive efficiencies – prepare justification and provide leadership to implement solutions
  • Support the intraday planning process for Operations, create intraday forecast distributions, compare requirements against available staffing and initiate short term staffing actions to meet service level goals
  • Work closely with management to ensure you understand the uniqueness of Units and the impacts the Data, Claims and Customer care teams have on each other and the business, directly impacting our business’ operational success and growth
  • Perform data analysis and participate in the monthly and weekly operations metric reviews
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to always meet deadlines
  • Focus on quality and accuracy of own work
  • Focus on customer experience and client relationships

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years related experience with reporting in the healthcare industry
  • 2+ years of experience performing report development
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL programming, specifically multiple tables, different joins, aggregation, and built-in-SQL functions
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, macros and pivot tables
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL Server, or Oracle, or Azure, or Snowflake
  • Ability to understand and communicate variances to operations, which include, but not limited to: finances, operational efficiency, productivity, and/or customer service issues
  • Located in Eastern, Mountain, or Central time zone

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy (specifically focused on calculations, interpretation, and presentation)
  • Ability to work productively and proactively in a dynamic, fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Analytical thinker, with ability to quickly grasp complex issues and problem solve
  • Solid organizational skills to track requests, deliverables, and meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently and in a group setting to achieve overall departmental goals

  • Dedication to make continuous improvements in all areas of responsibility

The hourly range for this role is $28.61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
