Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Digital Delivery Technologist in Portland, OR, to design, develop, and optimize backend services, databases, and data integrations for large-scale semiconductor and engineering projects. The role emphasizes SQL Server proficiency, C#/.NET development, and BI reporting to improve engineering productivity and project visibility.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, manage data workflows, and contribute to performance tuning, security, and documentation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Experience designing relational database schemas.
• Strong understanding of database indexing, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience with Git.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Create and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Analyze and improve query performance through indexing and optimization techniques.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to implement new features.
• Develop and maintain data integration and ETL processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes.
• Ensure data security, consistency, and integrity across systems.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that provide insight into project status.
