Job summary

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a SQL Engineer II to design, develop, and optimize data solutions powering client deliverables and internal products. This role focuses on SQL Server development, scalable datasets, and end-to-end data pipelines with strong ownership and collaboration across delivery, engineering, and product teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, strong T‑SQL skills, and a proactive approach to documentation, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3–5 years with Microsoft SQL Server in a production environment.
• Hands-on T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and data transformations.
• Experience building ETL pipelines and handling large datasets.
• Strong query optimization and performance troubleshooting skills.
• Data modeling, validation, and data quality checks; root cause analysis.
• Exposure to CI/CD concepts and delivery tools.
• Exposure to C#, APIs, .NET, JavaScript/HTML is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based data solutions for client and product needs.
• Build and optimize complex queries and database objects for performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to transform and validate large data sets.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and quality checks.
• Translate requirements into technical SQL solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Own workstreams, meet deadlines, and communicate risks early.
