Job summary

SBA Communications seeks a skilled SQL Server DBA to design, implement, and optimize database environments, ensuring high performance and reliability. You will work closely with DBAs and development teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

The role involves maintaining SQL Server instances, writing efficient T-SQL, and supporting ETL processes with SSIS/SSRS. Strong knowledge of replication, backups, and security is essential, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
3-5 years relevant experience with MS SQL Server in a DBA or equivalent role, including T-SQL, SQL replication, ADO, and coding triggers and stored procedures.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with DBAs to understand database requirements and review objectives with stakeholders.
Design, code, and implement complex business processes within TSQL and .Net where applicable.
Install, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server environments, replication, and database mirroring.
Develop database solutions with security, backup, and recovery specifications.
Monitor and maintain database performance with DBAs and assist in testing.
Provide support to development staff optimizing stored procedures and Transact-SQL.
Deliver improvements to the Manager of Database Systems.
