Job summary

Con Edison is seeking a Jr. Database Architect to design, build, and govern enterprise data solutions.

The hybrid role combines database architecture with data engineering to support critical applications, analytics, and digital transformation. The candidate will create scalable, secure, and highly available database systems, develop data pipelines, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 5+ years of MS SQL Server development experience.
• Strong T-SQL programming and query optimization.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and enterprise data integrations.
• Experience with data ingestion, incremental loading, data validation, and data quality processes.
• Experience with enterprise data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, views, functions, and advanced T-SQL solutions.
• Design, develop, and support ETL/ELT processes for enterprise data integration and transformation.
• Build and maintain data ingestion, incremental load, reconciliation, data validation, and data quality processes.
• Analyze, solve, and correct data, ETL, and database-related issues with end-to-end resolution.
• Maintain database objects, schema changes, and scripts using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Document technical procedures, deployment plans, and status reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Take ownership of deliverables and adapt to changing priorities.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams and support release deployments.
