Job summary

Stellar Innovations is seeking an Oracle/MS-SQL/DB2 expert to join our database administration team supporting Air Force and DOD programs. The role emphasizes designing, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale databases in a secure client/server environment.

You will translate data needs into robust database solutions, enforce standards, perform auditing, and collaborate with developers and operations for high availability across diverse platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in database query languages (Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, MS-SQL) and 3+ years hands-on RDBMS experience.
• Experience across multiple OS and programming languages; multiple large-scale projects.
• Expertise with Oracle, SQL Server, and IBM DB2.

Responsibilities

• Provide all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.
• Plan long-range requirements for database administration and design with IS management.
• Design, create, and maintain databases in a client/server environment.
• Conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure data accuracy and proper use.
• Advise users on access to various databases.
• Design, implement, and maintain complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, protection, security, documentation, and statistics.
• Apply knowledge with database technologies, development methodologies, and SQL.
• Perform database programming and support systems design.
• Maintain database dictionaries, monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and system integration.

We are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

Responsibilities:

• Provides all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.
• Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.
• Designs, creates, and maintains databases in a client/server environment.
• Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
• Advises users on access to various client/server databases.
• Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
• Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end /back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL).
• Performs database programming and supports systems design.
• Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.

Qualifications:

• Five (5) years progressive experience of database query languages such as Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, MS-SQL Also has at least three years hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems.
• Experience also shall include capability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages.Has experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer database.
• Expert with enterprise Oracle database software and application products, Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2.

Security Clearance and Certification Requirements:

• US Citizenship is Mandatory.
• Sensitivity Level: IT-I – Critical Sensitive
• Clearance: Top Secret OR Secret with Top Secret Clearance investigation completed.
• DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II(Security+ CE or higher)
• Must possess one of the following Computing Environment Certifications:
• OCP12c; OCM12c; GSOC; DB2; MCITP DBA; MCITP DBD; MCM: MCA: MS SQL Server, MCSE: DP, MCSM: DP, M2012 SQL; Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional (OCP) 19; OCM18; DB2; MCSE:SQL Server or MCSA: SQL Server and higher, or Azure Database Associate and higher.
