Job summary

Lighthouse Technology Services, Inc is partnering with our client to fill their SQL DBA position in Buffalo, NY on an 18+ month contract with potential to convert. The role is hybrid and you'll be a W2 employee of Lighthouse.

You will lead data cleanup, migration to Azure/Snowflake, and design scalable database structures. Strong SQL Server and cloud platform knowledge required; Alteryx a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with large-scale database transformation and migration projects.
• Strong SQL Server experience for cleanup, transformation, and development.
• Solid data schema design experience for large applications and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of Azure and Snowflake cloud platforms and migration strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to work with slowly changing dimensions and temporal data structures.
• Experience building and optimizing databases in complex, enterprise-scale environments.
• Alteryx experience is a significant plus for data transformation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead data cleanup and remediation for an enterprise-wide risk management database transformation initiative.
• Build and implement robust database structures to support a new cloud-based risk management data product.
• Support the migration of on-premises SQL Server environments to Azure or Snowflake cloud platforms.
• Design and develop large-scale application data schemas optimized for reporting and analytics purposes.
• Execute database engineering tasks including data transformation, structure optimization, and quality assurance.
• Implement slowly changing dimension methodologies to track trends and historical data changes.
• Partner with architects and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical database solutions.

This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead data cleanup and remediation efforts for an enterprise-wide risk management database transformation initiative
• Build and implement robust database structures to support a new cloud-based risk management data product
• Support the migration of on-premises SQL Server environments to Azure or Snowflake cloud platforms
• Design and develop large-scale application data schemas optimized for reporting and analytics purposes

What You'll Need to Have:

Pay Range: $65-70/hr
