Aleut Federal, LLC is hiring a SQL Database Administrator for the AFSCI enterprise in San Antonio, TX. This full-time, on-site role requires strong SQL administration skills for a 40K+ user environment with Top Secret clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities include database administration, daily health checks, backups, replication design, and data security. Salary range is 110K–115K with comprehensive benefits; IoT support and government-contract experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 6+ years of SQL Database Administrator experience.
• Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
• 3–5 years working government contracts.
• Background in supporting core services technologies (MS services, backups, endpoint security).
• Performing daily health checks and developing strategies for support to multiple technologies.

Responsibilities

• Administer database services for AFSCI enterprise across sites and systems.
• Operate day-to-day operation of antivirus databases; perform backups, recovery, and load analysis.
• Create and rebuild replication schemes; troubleshoot with other ops and developers.
• Design build functions to control data access, enforce integrity, manage concurrency.
• Convert standard databases to Enterprise-level databases.
• Update files, monitor servers, and support users; update SOPs.
• Manage SQL servers; review logs and network configs; propose solutions to ISSM/PMO.
• Ensure daily backups; log IT problems and resolutions; report in monthly status.
• Ensure software licensing compliance; notify Enterprise Software License Manager of unlicensed software.
• Identify issues affecting Enterprise operations and report to COR.

Aleut Federal is hiring a SQL Database Administrator for the AFSCI enterprise. The SQL Database Administrator must be highly motivated, organized, and highly skilled in administering SQL services for a 40K+ user enterprise. The position is in San Antonio, TX and will be a full-time on-site position.

Responsibilities:

• Administer database services for the AFSCI enterprise to include all supported sites and systems. The current database utilized is Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Operate and check the day-to-day operation of fielded anti-virus databases. Perform system checks, backup, recovery, and load analysis.
• Create and rebuild replication scheme, troubleshoot systems with other operational functions and application developers.
• Design the build functions to control access to data, enforce data integrity, manage concurrency, and add, modify, and delete functionalities based on customer requirements for upgrading software and support tools as newer versions are released.
• Convert standard databases to the Enterprise-level databases.
• Update files, monitor network servers, internet, and intranet user support and update SOP.
• Manage the SQL servers; research and troubleshoot problems by reviewing logs, records, and network configurations; recommend solutions to identified problems to the Enterprise ISSM and PMO.
• Ensure data is backed up daily; log all IT and Enterprise problems and resolutions and provide results to the 690 ISS in the monthly status report.
• Ensure all software is properly licensed and notify the AFSCI Enterprise Software License Manager of unlicensed software on the network.
• Identify all issues that may affect Enterprise operations to the COR and upon discovery.

Requirements:

• High School diploma with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience as a SQL Database Administrator (accredited degree may count as experience).
• Clearance Required: Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility
• 3-5 years working government contracts
• Background in supporting core services technologies for enterprise functions (MS services, backups, endpoint security, and similar technologies)
• Performing daily health checks and developing strategies for support to multiple technologies

Preferred:

• Relevant MS Office 365 certification (such as Azure Data Fundamentals) or Legacy MSCA/MCSE
• Proven critical thinking and strategic problem-solving ability
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Highly skilled communicator, capable of independent and teamwork.
• Prior military or government service in an IT field is a plus
• Familiar with Ticketing system, ServiceNow preferred, Remedy acceptable

Salary range is 110K to 115K
