Job summary

American Unit, Inc is seeking a SME-level SQL Server DBA Developer in Omaha. The role emphasizes expert SQL Server administration, PowerShell scripting, and advanced troubleshooting within Windows environments.

You will optimize queries and indexes, manage Always On availability groups, and orchestrate disaster recovery with an eye toward regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates possess 8+ years in SQL Server, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Experience as SQL Server DBA with heavy focus on Always On availability groups
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and task automation
• Strong diagnostic skills: wait statistics, query and index tuning, disaster recovery orchestration
• Familiar with regulatory compliance like SOX and CIS (audit-ready processes)
• Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews to ensure high quality deliverables
