Job summary

Insight Global's client is seeking a SQL BI Analyst to support a critical enterprise data migration initiative and ongoing production activities. You will validate data with business users, run ad hoc reporting requests, and assist with backlog reduction while internal migration resources focus on the core project.

This short-term engagement (~3 months) offers exposure to MS SQL Server SQL, SSRS reporting, and collaboration with onshore/offshore teams, with business hours aligning to U.S.

Qualifications

• Strong experience writing complex SQL queries in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Experience creating and maintaining SSRS reports.
• Background supporting business users with data requests, reporting, and analysis.
• Experience working within a ticketing-driven environment (JIRA).
• Ability to handle multiple ad hoc requests and shifting priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a support/operations-focused role rather than a project-based environment.
• Ability to overlap with U.S. Central Time business hours through at least 8 AM – 1 PM CST.
• Experience with the Microsoft BI stack, Databricks, and AWS.
• Insurance, finance, claims, or other highly data-driven industries.
• Previous experience supporting U.S.-based teams or organizations.
• Experience working with offshore/onshore distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Run data validations and fulfill ad hoc reporting requests for business users.
• Investigate and respond to tickets submitted through JIRA.
• Create and modify SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data.
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports.
• Collaborate with application and data teams to support operational workloads.
• Assist with backlog reduction for a large-scale migration project.
• Participate in bi-weekly team meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality confidence ahead of migration activities.
