Job summary

Lebermuth is seeking a QEHS Specialist to serve as the site SQF Practitioner and coordinate the daily operation and effectiveness of the SQF system at our South Bend headquarters. You will develop, review, and maintain food safety plans and system documentation, support audits, and lead corrective-action and training efforts.

The role requires a bachelor's in a related field and 2+ years in quality, food safety, or manufacturing, with strong knowledge of SQF, cGMP, and HACCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years experience in quality, food safety, manufacturing, or related.
• Working knowledge of SQF, cGMP, HACCP.
• SQF Practitioner, PCQI, HACCP certifications preferred or required.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ERP/MRP and QMS preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpret regulations and data.
• On-site role at HQ in South Bend, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SQF documentation and oversee daily SQF system.
• Coordinate food safety plans and SQF documentation with teams.
• Maintain audit readiness for SQF, government, and customer audits.
• Review monitoring, testing, audit, complaint, and corrective-action information to identify risks and trends.
• Communicate SQF-system status to QEHS leadership and senior site management.
• Administer CAPA/SCAR documentation and track actions.
• Coordinate SOP updates and training.
• Support safety inspections and safety-related documentation.
