Job summary

HP is seeking a SQA Test Engineer in the United States to contribute to comprehensive test plans and design engineering solutions using intermediate subject matter knowledge. You will validate solutions, test strategies, products, and methodologies, and create testing tooling, fixtures, scripts, automation, and apparatuses.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of relevant work experience in debug/validation or advanced degree with limited experience.

  • Monitors yield data and drives continuous test enhancements for quality.
  • Applies expertise and follows policy to resolve issues.
  • Works with senior engineers on root-cause remediation of hardware issues.
  • Collaborates with internal and outsourced testing partners.
  • Documents conclusions and recommendations from data analysis.

SQA Test Engineer Description - Job Summary
  • This role is responsible for actively participating in the development of comprehensive test plans and designing engineering solutions by leveraging intermediate level of subject matter knowledge.
  • The role also contributes to the validation of solutions, test strategies, product designs, and methodologies, and creates testing tooling, fixtures, scripts, automation, and apparatuses.
  • The role collaborates with multiple stakehplders to develop high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Participates in reviews of requirements, available design data and test plan development.
  • Designs portions of engineering solutions to test and evaluate systems, equipment, and devices based on established engineering principles and specifications.
  • Collaborates with team of other engineers to validate the engineering solutions, test strategy, product design and methodologies.
  • Builds testing tooling, fixtures, scripts, automation, and apparatuses based on provided specifications.
  • Develops and implements test plans, schedules, and requirements for subsystems of new and existing designs.
  • Monitors yield data for test and product issues while implementing continuous test enhancements to ensure quality of product.
  • Applies professional expertise, exercises judgment, and resolves various issues by following company policies and procedures.
  • Works with senior engineers on root cause remediation with regards to systemic hardware, equipment and devices found during the tests; develops and executes reliable, cost effective and high quality test solutions.
  • Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced testing and development partners.
  • Develops conclusions, recommendations, and written reports, contributing proactively through research and data analysis support, and sharing knowledge to foster a knowledge management culture.
Education & Experience Recommended
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in debug and validation, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.

Salary Range: $77,000 - $110,000
