Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Rockville Centre is seeking an experienced diesel technician to diagnose and repair Sprinter engines and systems. You will use XENTRY diagnostics, road-test vehicles, and perform scheduled maintenance for both fleet and personal customers.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years of diesel repair experience, Sprinter familiarity is preferred, and a professional tool set. Expect a fully equipped shop with modern facilities and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Diesel repair experience required.
• Sprinter experience preferred; diesel experience with other manufacturers welcome.
• Mercedes-Benz and ASE certifications preferred, not required.
• CDL not required.
• Professional personal tool set.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Good time management, basic computer skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Sprinter engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake and A/C systems.
• Use Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment.
• Road test and verify vehicle concerns.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and warranty repairs.
• Identify and recommend additional repairs.
• Diagnose and repair diesel-related systems, including emissions and aftertreatment components.
