Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an experienced Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on electrical, sprinkler, or suppression life safety product lines.

Qualifications

4+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
Experience with wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals.
Experience with hand tools and multi‑meter usage.
Capable of lifting 50–70 lbs and performing physical labor.
Ability to work in ladders, scaffolding, ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings.
Flexible hours including on‑call, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Inspect, test, service, and perform preventive maintenance on sprinkler and life safety products.
Document deficiencies accurately during inspections.
Complete service acknowledgements/inspections with proper coding via devices or paper.
Maintain a structured inspection schedule and perform minor repairs.
Assist with installation of sprinkler systems and related work.
Perform in challenging positions and environments as needed.
