Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is looking for a Sprinkler Install Technician to independently install fire sprinkler systems at customer sites in Casper, WY. You’ll interpret blueprints, use installation tools, and ensure NFPA and local code compliance while reporting progress and maintaining safety on active jobs.

The role requires 3+ years in fire and life safety, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. NICET I+ is preferred; travel to job sites is part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system installation practices.
• Clean driving record and active driver’s license if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and installation reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

The Sprinkler Install Technician is responsible for independently performing installation of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
