Job summary

On Guard Fire Protection in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our growing team. You will inspect, install, repair, and service various fire sprinkler systems and components, following NFPA standards and engineering guidelines.

The role requires at least two years of field experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid G-Card, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Two years of fire sprinkler installation/inspection experience
• Ability to pass a background check
• G-Card certification required
• Physically able to lift up to 100 pounds and repeatedly carry 50–70 pounds

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, repair, and service fire sprinkler systems incl. Wet, Dry, Pre-action, Deluge, and Foam systems
• Install, hang, and service sprinkler systems/components per NFPA standards
• Repair or replace sprinkler system components as needed
• Test, rebuild, repair, or replace backflow preventers
• Identify deficiencies and recommend effective repairs
• Prepare jobsites by inspecting, disabling horns/strobes, and notifying alarm company/fire department prior to testing
• Perform system testing to verify proper operation of sprinkler/alarm systems
• Verify communication with monitoring station for monitored systems
• Complete required installation, inspection, and service documentation

Position Responsibilities:

• Repair or replace sprinkler system components as needed
• Test, rebuild, repair, or replace backflow preventers
• Identifysystem deficiencies and recommend effective repair solutions
• Prepare jobsites by performing visual inspections, disabling horns and strobes, and notifying the alarm company and fire department prior to testing
• Perform system testing to verify proper operation of sprinkler and alarm systems upon completion of work
• Verify proper communication with the monitoring station when working onmonitoredsystems
• Perform all work efficiently, safely, and professionally
• Complete required installation, inspection, and service documentation

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of two years of experience in fire sprinkler installation, inspection, orservice-relatedexperience in plumbing or pipefitting will be considered
• Valid G-Card certification
• Ability to pass a background check

• Ability tolift upto 100 pounds
• Ability to repeatedly carry 50–70 pounds
• Ability to push and pull more than 75 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders reaching heights of at least 12 feet
