Job summary

Total Fire Protection in Berthoud, CO is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service Fitter to service, maintain and repair fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards. The role requires strong knowledge of systems, blueprints, and customer communication.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and on-call support while staying current with industry regulations. The position offers an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with pay between $25 and $45 per hour

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven 5+ years’ experience with knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, inspection, testing, and maintenance.
  • Ability to operate a computer, tablet and read electronic blueprints required.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Relevant NICET and / or State certification preferred.
  • Relevant Denver / CSA License preferred.
  • Relevant Backflow Certification preferred.
  • ServiceTrade and BuildingReports software experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of fire codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IFC, IBC).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining system operation and any necessary repairs.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment in good working order.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Stay up to date on the latest fire sprinkler technologies, codes, and regulations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder.

Job Type:

Full-time

Pay:

$25.00 - $45.00 per hour - based on experience

Schedule:

8-hour shift - Monday to Friday
